   Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 5 to 7 days before: aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, and garlic supplements. Consult your physician before stopping any prescribed medication.

   Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.

   Arrive with clean skin on the neck and jaw. Remove any makeup or product from those areas before your appointment.

   Avoid any botulinum toxin product within 3 months of your appointment.

   Inform your provider of all current medications, including any neurological medications.

   Notify your provider if you have any history of neck injury, surgery, or neurological condition affecting the neck or jaw.
