Named after the Egyptian queen celebrated for her extraordinarily defined neck, it targets the platysmal bands — the vertical muscles that run from the clavicle to the jaw — and the depressor muscles along the jawline that pull the lower face downward.
By relaxing these downward-pulling muscles with small, strategically placed botulinum toxin injections, the elevator muscles of the face and neck are allowed to work unopposed.
